thelanguagecenter : "Once you are out of high school the thought of learning a new language can be very intimidating. Many people believe that the older you get the harder it is to learn a new language. That is simply not true.
As we get older it can be hard to learn in a classroom setting but who has time for that anyway?
The truth is that there are other ways to learn a new language that are not set in a classroom. You can learn your new language by DVD or CD these days. That can be a little costly and you may not learn enough to be considered 'fluent'.
The easiest way to learn a new language at any age is the same way that you learned as a child. As a baby no one sat in front of you for hours trying to teach you to speak. Instead, you learned by listening to those around you and imitating them. This basic concept is still the best method that you can use to learn to speak another language today.
You can buy a program off the internet (see link at bottom of page) for about $100 that will have you speaking your new language in no time. The program that I am recommending; costs hundreds less than many other programs that are out there, it is also downloadable so you can start today. Just think, in ten minutes you can be learning your new language from the comfort of your home.
Don't let anyone tell you that you can't learn a new language because of your age because that just isn't true. "
